Bobby Ray Stephenson

Lenoir – Mr. Bobby Ray Stephenson, age 74, of Lenoir, passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Hudson.Born January 24, 1941 in Caldwell County, Mr. Stephenson was a son of the late Clarence and Lula Walden Stephenson and the husband of Mrs. Scottie Harrison Stephenson of the home. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Betty Hobbs. Mr. Stephenson enjoyed antiques, old music and anything old.His hobby was martial arts where he was a 2nd Degree Black Belt. Surviving other than his wife, Scottie is his daughter, Jill Stephenson of Charlotte; his grandson, Lathan Campbell; his aunt, Mary Holden of Lenoir and numerous other relatives. A celebration of Mr. Stephenson’s life will be held 11:00 AM Monday, July 13, 2015 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Lori Ann Bowen officiating.Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00 AM.
