Bobby Eugene Smith

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Bobby Eugene Smith, age 60, of Lenoir, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2011 at the VA Hospital in Asheville. Born March 5, 1951 in Caldwell County, Bobby was a son of the late Robert Lee and Katherine Price Smith. Bobby was a veteran of the Navy and had worked for Lenoir Mirror Company. He is preceded in death by a step grandson. Survivors include his wife, Debra Brandon Smith; a son, Robert Norman Smith; two step children, John C. Hendrix of Statesville, and Angel L. Wagoner of Tennessee; a brother, J.B. Smith of Lenoir; he is also survived by four step granddaughters and numerous other relatives. A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Allen Raby officiating. There will be Military Honors following the memorial service at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
