Bobby Beard

Mr. Bobby Beard, age 79, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018, surrounded by family while a patient at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care-Kirkwood.He was born September 28, 1938, to the late John McKinley Beard and Delma Laws Beard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Woodruff and Mary Lindsay; and brothers, Howard Beard and Ransom Beard. Bobby is survived by his children, Sherri Beard Shytle and husband Michael of Sunset Beach, Michael D. Beard and wife Wendy of Lenoir and Amy Beard Thornburg also of Lenoir. Mr. Beard is also survived by his brother, Jimmy Beard and wife Carolyn, his six grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Zachary and Stephanie, Morganne and Austin, McKensey and Holden.He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held at Shiloh Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Shiloh Community Cemetery Inc. at 1285 Wexford Village Circle NE, Lenoir, NC28645.
