On Wednesday, December 16, 2020, Billy Lee Tolbert passed away due to a long- term illness. Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, Bill managed his illness with strength and grace, and wanted to spend as much time with his loved ones as possible. On his final day, he was surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren, who he adored more than anything else in the world." Billy Lee Tolbert, loving husband and father of five children, passed away at the age of 81.Bill was born on August 8, 1939 in Lenoir, NC. In April 1959, he married Shelve Dean Eller. They raised two daughters, Tish Reinhardt (Terry) and Peggy Poston, and three sons, Billy Tolbert (Tim), Jeffery Tolbert (Becky), and Gary Tolbert (Bonny). He was known for his quick wit, and his kind and compassionate spirit.He was honest and accommodating to all that knew him. Bill was preceded in death by his son, Tony, father, mother, sister and two brothers.He is survived by his loving wife Shelve Dean, and his five devoted children.He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
