Billy Courtland Steele

Lenoir, NC – Mr. Billy Courtland Steele, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Caldwell Hospice. He was born in Caldwell County on December 26, 1940 to the late James Henry Steele and Naveda Dula Steele. He was married to Gwen Jordan Steele of the home and he was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Steele and his sister, Edna Steele Barlowe.  Other than his wife he is survived by his daughter, Shonia Tidwell and husband Philip of Lenoir; son, Mikeal Steele and wife, Andrea of Granite Falls; brother, James Steele; grandchildren, Devin Steele of Hudson; Aaron Steele of Lenoir; Emma Steele of Granite Falls; step-grandchildren, Preston Page of Lenoir and Phillip Page of Granite Falls.
