Lenoir – Mr. Billy Eugene Helms, Jr., age 56 of Lenoir, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Lenoir.Born September 16, 1957 in Dover, Delaware, Billy was a son of the late Billy Eugene Helms Sr. and the late Betty Elizabeth Furr Helms. Billy enjoyed old cars, shooting pool and karaoke. He is survived by his wife, Doris Helms, of the home; special uncle, William Fortune of Morganton; special friend and caregiver, Ray and his very special buddies, Willie, Little Girl, Smooches, Lillie, Badger, Poppy, Buffy and Mo Mo. A private service will be held at a later date.
