Lenoir – Bill B. Isaacs, age 85, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017. He was born on December 11, 1931 to the late Claude Thomas Isaacs and Lula Kirby Isaacs. Bill was a member of Yadkin Baptist Church since 1968. Bill served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, church treasurer and chairman of the finance committee during his years of membership. He retired early from Henredon Furniture Company after 28 years as Chief Financial Officer. Bill served during the Korean War as a cryptographer, stationed in Puerto Rico until honorably discharged in 1956. He was active in the community, serving on the Review Board for Caldwell County and the Board of Directors for Happy Valley Medical Center as Financial Director. He worked for and assisted many organizations and companies with their finances and accounting over the years. Bill was happiest working with his children and grandchildren around the family “farm” over the years. In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his sister, Audrey Isaacs Clark and half brother, Lawrence Bryant. Bill is survived by his wife Nancy Pritchard Isaacs to whom he was married for 59 ½ years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Rev. Michael Isaacs (wife Beth), Sarah Story (husband Jeff), all of Lenoir; Elizabeth Kamberg (husband Kurt), of Charlotte; Thomas Isaacs (wife Susie), of Clover, SC; Grandchildren; Joshua Story, Samantha Story, Addison Isaacs (wife Porscha), Andrew Kamberg, Garrison Isaacs (wife Betty), Derek Kamberg, Jabin Isaacs, Grace Isaacs; Great-Grandson, Henry Lee Isaacs. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at Yadkin Baptist Church on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Daren Smart, Reverend Robert Livingston, and Reverend Michael Isaacs officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
