Beverly Foster Craig

Beverly Foster Craig passed away on September 10, 2010 at home after a short illness. She was 77. Beverly was born on February 9, 1933 in Bennett, Nebraska to Clarence Lee Foster and Alice White Foster who preceded her in death. She lived most of her life in Caldwell County and attended school there. She had also lived in Hampton Virginia, and Fremont California.  She is survived by her brother, Clarence “JR” Foster Jr. of Lee’s Summit, MO., her children, Joe Craig of Charlotte, NC., Tricia Nicklas of Glen Burnie, MD., Maureen Collins and Jackie Falkowski of Lenoir, NC .  In addition she has three grandchildren, Matthew Collins of Lenoir, NC., Beth Minton of Salisbury. NC., and Renee Melgoza of Fremont, CA and one great-grandchild, Jordan Kinnaman of Fremont CA.. Beverly had many “adopted” children and grandchildren who affectionately called her Mamaw.  Beverly was an avid Atlanta Braves fan who also loved gardening, baking and sewing.  She was an active member of Setzer’s Gap Presbyterian Church. She loved God, her church and her church family. She was loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed. A memorial service is planned at Setzer’s Gap Presbyterian Church, 2625 Collettsville Road, Lenoir, for Saturday, September 25th at 2 PM.  Online condolences can be sent to the Craig family at www.evansfuneralservice.com.  Evans Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the Craig family.
