Beulah Mclean Smith

 Hudson, NC- Mrs. Beulah Chloe McLean Smith, age 87, of Hudson passed away on January 10, 2010 at home. She was born March 2, 1922 to the late Ellis and Mattie Banner McLean of Banner Elk.  Mrs. Smith worked in the textile and furniture industry until her retirement from Eller Wood Turning. She attended Crossroads Community Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Dallas Welsh, her second husband, Millard Smith; son Dempsey Welsh; brothers D. McLean and Jay McLean and sisters Vila Cole and Ruth Johnson Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Beulah Eller of Hudson; grandsons Glen Eller and wife Renee, Tony Eller and girlfriend Crystal Hartley, all of Hudson, and Gary Welsh of Lenoir; great-granddaughter Katie Eller of Hudson; great-grandsons Jacob Eller of Hudson and Isaac Anderson of Lenoir. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 3:00 PM at Crossroads Community Church in Whitnel with Reverend Rick Bowman presiding. Burial will follow at East Hudson Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence before and after the service.
