Betty H. Weaver

Lenoir, NC- Betty H. Weaver, age 76, resident of Collettesville, NC died Monday, December 10, 2007 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital, Lenoir, NC. She was the daughter of the late Millard and Rhea Estes Holsclaw of Collettesville, NC. She is survived by one son, Christopher Robert Curtis of Atlanta, Georgia; a brother, Jack M. Holsclaw and four sisters, Barbara Bolick, Mary Clarke, Valerie McRary, all of Lenoir, NC and Sarah Arney of Matthews, NC. Brothers-in-law Gene Clarke and Ben McRary and special sister-in-law Rose Church and her family also survive her. Nephews include Jack M. Holsclaw, Jr. and wife Carolyn, Glenn Holsclaw and wife Susan, Mark Bolick, James Clarke, Thomas McRary and wife Donna, Gregory McRary and wife Lisa, Dennis Arney and wife Karen. There is a niece, Kelly Buffaloe and husband Shawn, six great nephews, three great nieces and a host of friends. Betty was employed by Western Carolina Center, Valdese Hospital and retired from Foothills Mental Health in 2005. She was a member of Mulvale Baptist Church, Collettesville, NC and was on of the founders of the Thankful Thursday Group. The family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Service from 1 until 2 PM Wednesday, December 12, 2007 with a memorial service to follow at 2 PM. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
