Betty Mclean Toon

Lenoir- Mrs. Betty McLean Toon, age 72, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Mrs. Toon was born in Caldwell County on May 7, 1938 to the late Roy McLean and Daisy Barker McLean. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Toon; daughter, Laura Goble; four brothers and one sister. Mrs. Toon is survived by her children and their spouses; Billy and Jane Toon of Morganton; Shirley and Roger Elkins of Concord; Sandy and Allen Huffman of South Mountain; and her son-in-law, James Coffey of Lenoir; three sisters; fifteen nieces; twenty nephews; sixteen grandchildren; two grand-dogs; thirty-one great-grandchildren; and two great-grand-dogs. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Monday, August 9, 2010 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM. A graveside service will be held at Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery on Monday, August 9, 2010 immediately following the visitation.
