Betty Lue Cayton Wallace died peacefully on January 8, 2023 at Hospice in Valdese, NC due to

everyone she met. She lived life her way right up to the time she went into the hospital.

Betty Lue was born May 14, 1937 to the late Wade Kermit and Minnie Mae Cayton. She was also

preceded in death by her infant twin daughters, her daughter Laura Suzette, and her husband Louis

Betty Lue first worked at Wachovia Bank then took time off to raise her two children. She returned to

work in a variety of fields: restaurant owner/manager, real estate agent, mortgage loan writer before

Betty Lue spent her time walking two miles a day, exercising at the Senior Center, and studying God’s

Word with Adult Bible Study Group.

She was avid sports fan. She loved to watch all sports especially Men’s College Basketball and the NFL.

In fact, she was watching the Washington v. Dallas game Sunday and after half time she felt

comfortable that Washington would win so she decided to go ahead and go to heaven.
