Lenoir –Mrs. Betty Coleman King, age 57, of Lenoir, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Lenoir.Born February 2, 1957 in Murphy, NC, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Estel Graham Coleman and the wife of Gary Lee King of the home. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by 3 sisters, Emma Lou Rose; Vyuta English and Clarene Mays and a brother Herman Coleman. Betty was a very active member of Poarch Chapel Missionary Methodist Church.She was a supervisor of textiles at HBF for 23 years. Other than her husband Gary, she is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Loftin and husband Charlie of Newton; her son Jamie Rowe and wife Becky of Newton; step-son Brian King of Sawmills; 2 sisters, Louise Teague and husband Bill of Hudson; Ruby Deal of Hickory, 2 brothers, Cecil Coleman and wife Gail of Murphy; Raby Coleman of Hickory and 5 grandchildren, Brandon and wife Kelly; Tyler, Madison, Roxanne and Emily. A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday at Poarch Chapel Missionary Methodist Church with burial following at Flemings Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 until 12:00, prior to the service.
