Betty Hartley

Lenoir – Mrs. Betty Hartley, age 67 passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. She was born on May 24, 1948 to the late Leslie and Edith Franklin. She is survived by her husband Harold Hartley daughters, Mary Thomas, Linda Shell and husband Clent. She has four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, five step-great grandchildren and one great grandchild. She also has one sister Edith Powell. Mrs. Hartley was a Christian woman who loved her Lord and Savior. She was a member of Nazareth Advent Christian Church. A celebration of Mrs. Hartley’s life will be held at Nazareth Advent Christian Church on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 4:00 PM with Pastor Scott Philyaw officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Shell, Kevin Shell, Taylor Griffin, Leslie Franklin, Dale Franklin, and Austin Powell. Honorary Pallbearer Michael Franklin. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 prior to the service.
