Betty Lou Edminsten Cloer

Hudson, NC- Mrs. Betty Lou Edminsten Cloer, age 72, of Hudson, died Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at her home. Born May 31, 1934 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Cloer was a daughter of the late Harrison and Rose Bird Shore Edminsten and the wife of the late Billy Dock Cloer. She was retired from Hickory Manufacturing Company. She is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Lois Simmons of Hudson; Debra Miller of Granite Falls; Lori Farr of Lenoir; one son Charles (Chuck) Cloer of Lenoir; three brothers, James, Fred and Reverend Robert Edminsten, all of Lenoir; one sister, Ellen Doyle of Charleston, SC; 3 grandsons, Scott Parker and Phillip Cloer, both of Lenoir; Jeremy Parker of Hudson, two granddaughters, Becky Lane of Granite Falls; Tyranda Cloer of Lenoir; 7 great-grandchildren, Alexis and Abriana Lane of Granite Falls, Allana Parker, Duncan Parker and Andrew Parker, all of Hudson, Haley and Kaylin Parker both of Lenoir and a number of nieces and nephews. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, 5 sisters and one granddaughter, Nicole Aileen Cloer. A celebration of Mrs. Cloer?s life will be held 7 PM Friday, October 6, 2006 at Poovey?s Chapel Baptist Church with Reverend Robert Edminsten and Reverend Mark Dula officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 6 until 7, one hour prior to the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials being made to Poovey?s Chapel Baptist Church building fund, 2822 Poovey?s Chapel Church Rd., Hudson, NC 28638 or to one?s favorite charity.
