Betty Clontz Beane

Granite Falls, NC- Mrs. Betty Duane Clontz Beane, age 77, of Granite Falls, died Friday, April 22, 2011 at Valdese General Hospital. Born March 17, 1934 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Beane was a daughter of the late Paul Clontz and the late Florence Clontz Tolbert and the wife of Mr. Sturges Conway Beane, of the home. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Ralph Tolbert and a brother, Gary Clontz. Surviving other than her husband are two sons; J.R. Beane and wife Sharon Tim Beane and wife Robin; 5 brothers, Paul Clontz, Ralph Tolbert, Jr., Dan Tolbert, Ronnie Tolbert, David Tolbert and three grandchildren; Allison Beane, Thomas Beane and Tiffany Beane. A celebration of Mrs. Beane’s life will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 26, 2011 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, one hour prior to the service at Evans Funeral Service.
