Bessie Hicks

Lenoir- Mrs. Bessie Ann Yount Hicks, age 83, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Caldwell Hospice. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howell M. Hicks; son, Donald W. Hicks; granddaughter, Angela B. Hicks; and 10 brothers and sisters. Mrs. Hicks is survived by her daughter, Bessie Leona Hicks; grandsons, Brock and Quinton Hicks; granddaughters, Dana Hicks and Denise Ferguson; daughter-in-law, Chandra Hicks-Ferguson; sisters, Emma Yount Watkins and Linda Yount Sturgis and husband, Samuel; and a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul AME Church on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 3:00 PM with Dr. Byron Grayson officiating.
