Bernice Townsend

Mrs. Bernice Marlene Bolick Townsend, age 89, of Granite Falls passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at her home. Born on April 3, 1932 in Caldwell County, Bernice was a daughter of the late Noah and Bertha Sigmon Bolick.Bernice was a member of Cross Link Church.She will be remembered as being an excellent cook.She enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner for her family and friends.In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Vera Fulbright and Faye Brittian; three brothers, Glen Bolick, Ray Bolick and Gerald Bolick; a niece, Janet Bolick. Survivors include her children, Marcus Townsend (wife Brenda), Patrice Walker (husband Reginald) and Tracy Townsend (wife Carrie); a granddaughter, Sarah Townsend; a grandson, Aaron Spann; she is also survived by numerous other relatives.
