Bernice Lucille Correll

Lenoir- Bernice “Tiny” Lucille Sipes Correll, age 83, of Lenoir, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 at Shaire Center in Lenoir.Born February 10, 1932 in Caldwell County, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Della Watson Sipes and wife of the late Duward Henry Correll. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Leigh Correll Roberts; a grandson, Sean Paul Kristian Roberts and her siblings, Claude Sipes, Baynie Sipes, Leonard Sipes, Willard Sipes, Hubert Sipes, Doyle Sipes, Eugene Sipes, Bessie Sipes King and Mavis McRary. Mrs. Correll was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Lenoir and had worked at the Caldwell Senior Center. She is survived by one daughter, Vickie Correll Swanson of Lenoir; one granddaughter, Lacy Elizabeth Roberts Alford and husband Kenneth of Clayton; three great-grandchildren, Haley, Luke and Ashton Alford and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mrs. Correll’s life will be held at 5:00 PM Sunday, March 29, 2015 in the Chapel of First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Rob Hinman officiating. A private burial will take place at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be:Phillip Crump, Nicholas Crump, Timothy Crump, Nathan Triplett, Zack Ellis and Brady McCormick. The family will receive friends following the 5:00 PM Service at the church. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Church TV Ministry, 1002 Kirkwood Street, NE, Lenoir, NC 28645.
