Bennie Pipes

Hudson – Bennie Ray Pipes, age 90, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022. He was born in Caldwell County on August 19, 1932 to the late Guy and Willie Kaylor Pipes.

Bennie spent the last several years delivering food to the less fortunate in his community. He enjoyed attending Lakeview Baptist Church in Joyceton and running the roads of Hudson every day.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Benfield.

Bennie is survived by his daughter, Brenda McDonald and husband, Buddy; sister, Lula Bryant; granddaughter, Melanie Hagerty and husband, Jamie; and great-grandaughters, Breanna Hagerty and Molly Hagerty.

A memorial service celebrating Bennie’s life will be held at Lakeview Baptist Church on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 11:00 am with Reverend Gary Lawrence officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 prior to the service.
