Ben L. Davis

Hudson – Benny Lowell Davis, age 84, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 9, 2022. He was born in Davidson County on April 22, 1938 to the late Aaron Davis and Leora Carrick Davis.

Ben served in the Army and was stationed in France. He served the Lord faithfully at First Baptist Church Hudson for over 50 years in many different capacities. Ben retired from Bank of Granite as Senior Vice President after working for more than 30 years. He established Foothills Redbone Kennell in 1961.

Ben was blessed with a loving wife, Sondra Money Davis of 54 years, who preceded in death. In addition to Sondra, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Davis and brother, Jerry Davis.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Honsaker and husband, Curt; son, Mark Davis; grandchildren, Taylor Honsaker and Matthew Honsaker; great-grandchildren, Heidi Lail and Reagan Silcox; sister, Mollie Parks and husband, Steve and other family members.

A celebration of Ben’s life will be held at First Baptist Church Hudson on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 4:00 PM with Pastor Mack Jarvis officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Sardis Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hudson First Baptist Church or the Gideons for Bibles.
