Barry Woodward Barry George Woodward, 49, of Lenoir, NC and formerly of Yorktown, VA, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Gateway Rehabilitation Center. He was born August 29, 1965 in Hampton, VA. Barry moved to Lenoir in 1997 to be closer to family.He is the grandson of the late Rufus and the late Mamie Dunford of Yukon, WV, Hazel Woodward and the late Harold Woodward of Lenoir, NC. Barry is a York High School graduate and former employee of Amoco Oil Refinery in Yorktown, VA.He dearly loved God and his family.He was a member of Lenoir church of Christ and former member of Gloucester church of Christ.His family meant the world to him and his greatest joy was his nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service. A celebration of remembrance for Barry will be held at Evans Funeral Service, 1070 Taylorsville Road SE, Lenoir, NC 28645, on Friday, May 29, at 2 p.m. with Minister Adam McGhee officiating.A graveside service will immediately follow at the family cemetery in Buffalo Cove, NC. Afterwards, the family will have a fellowship at the Woodward’s home, 1415 Douglas Lane, Lenoir, NC 28645. His brother, Douglas; nephews, Cody and Hunter; and friends Jimmy Wade and Greg Whithead will honor Barry’s memory as pallbearers.
