Barry Vernon Watson

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Barry Vernon Watson, age 70, of Lenoir, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Lenoir Park. Born October 8, 1941 in Caldwell County, Mr. Watson was a son of the late Blake Vernon and Sue Black Watson. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Neil Douglas Watson. Mr. Watson was a graduate of Lenoir High School and the Pharmacy School of UNC-Chapel Hill where he has been a lifelong Tar Heel Fan. He was a retired pharmacist having worked locally for many years. Mr. Watson was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by 2 daughters, Kim Watson Chisesi of New Orleans, LA; Allyson Watson Bond and husband Sam of Clayton, NC; one grandson, Colby Chisesi of New Orleans, LA; one niece, Melanie Watson Kroger of Nashville, TN and his very special cousin and caretaker, Rebekah Smith Watson of Lenoir. A Graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Reverend Dan Redding officiating. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the staff of Lenoir Park and the staff of Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care for all of their wonderful care they gave to Barry.
