Barbara Joan Watson

Mrs. Barbara Joan Anders Watson, age 77 of Lenoir passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Lenoir Healthcare. Born May 21, 1941 in Caldwell county, Barbara was a daughter of the late Bayse and Bessie Mae Spicer Anders.She was self-employed and former owner of Ross and Company with her husband, Ross “Pete” Watson.Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.In addition to her parents, Barbara was also preceded in death by her husband, Ross “Pete” Watson; a brother, Sonny Anders; a sister Sylvia Woodruff. Survivors include two daughters, Dawn Watson (husband Tom King) and Michelle Watson both of Lenoir; her grandchildren, Tristan Ross Stevens and Grayson Seth King; a brother, David Anders; a sister, Nancy Brooks; a brother in law, David Watson; she is also survived by numerous other relatives. A memorial service celebrating Barbara’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 6:30 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
