Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Barbara Gail McLean Triplett, age 74, went to her eternal home on Monday, February 6, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Caldwell County on January 29, 1938 to the late Eula McLean Story Osborne. She was married to the late Glen F. Triplett for 44 years and their anniversary was February 5th. Mrs. Triplett attended Lenoir City Schools where she played in the Lenoir High School Band. She retired from Bernhardt Furniture Plant 5 after more than 30 years of service. Over the years she loved doing church service where she served as a youth leader, Sunday School teacher, and women?s missionary leader. One of her greatest joys was singing alto with the Triplett Family gospel group for 14 years. She was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church. In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Jeffrey Lynn Triplett; nephew, Larry Triplett and niece, Lisa Triplett. She is survived by her sons, Gregory Glenn Triplett and wife, Joan of Lenoir and Terry Michael Triplett, and wife Elisa of Lenoir; sister, Doris Story Triplett;her grandchildren all of Lenoir, Jason Gregory Triplett, Matthew Edward Triplett, Myra Kimberlee Triplett, Jennifer Triplett Ansley, Heather Elizabeth Triplett, and Christina Triplett Hicks of Gastonia; great-grandchildren, Vallarie Marie Triplett, Ella Grace Ansley, and Eli Isaiah Ansley. Mrs. Triplett was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her next great-grandson due in March. A celebration of Mrs. Triplett?s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Roger Beck officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jason Triplett, Matthew Triplett, Jonathan Ansley, John Yokeley, Tony Brakefield and Troy Warhurst. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service. The family respectfully requests that memorials be sent to: Caldwell Hospice, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
