Barbara Ann Melton Story

Hudson, NC- Mrs. Barbara Ann Melton Story, age 78, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2011 at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care. Mrs. Story was born in Caldwell County on February 9, 1933 to the late Frances “Lib” Melton and Florence Eller Melton and was the wife of Carl M. Story, Jr. of the home. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lenoir. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Reginald Ervin Williams, three sisters and two brothers. Other than her husband she is survived by her daughter, Sherry Williams Craig and husband, Rusty of Hudson; sister, Sheila Melton Brooks of Myrtle Beach, SC; and daughter-in-law, Sally Williams of Huntersville; five grandchildren, Shea Craig Bolick and husband, Ritch of Granite Falls, Lindsay Craig Bolick and husband, Kasey of Bethlehem, Tomorrow Williams of Hudson, Kimberly and Wesley Williams of Huntersville; and five great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Griffen, Will, Zach and Cooper Bolick. A celebration of Mrs. Story’s life will be held at 11:00 on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Lenoir with Pastor Jacquelyn H. Taylor officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 prior to the service.
