Barbara Joan Lowe

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Barbara Joan Bean Lowe, age 79, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care. She was born in Caldwell County on July 15, 1934 to the late Gladys Violet Bean. She was married to the late Elmer Lowe. Mrs. Lowe was a member at Lenoir First Wesleyan Church. Before she became ill she loved to knit, sew and crochet and participate in her Senior Citizen group. She is survived by her son, Alvin Eugene Keen; sisters, Martha Oxford, Aileen Minton, and Kathleen Miller; and numerous special cousins. A celebration of Mrs. Lowe’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 3:00 PM with Pastor James Baker officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service.
