Barbara Lee Crump

Barbara Crump Hudson – Barbara Lee Crump, age 98, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at College Pines Nursing Center. She wasborn in Caldwell County on June 8, 1916 to the late Ransom Barber and Mabel Phillips Barber. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Crump; son, Joseph “Joe” H. Crump; one sister and two brothers. She is survived by her children, John Crump and wife, Lottie; Dean Galloway and husband, Bill; Carole Fletcher and husband, Jim; Jerry Crump and wife, Linda; Wes Crump and wife, Mary; sister, Anita Mae Miller; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and fifteen great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Sardis Cemetery in Hudson on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jim Hamby officiating. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to Burke Hospice, 1721 Enon Road, Valdese, NC 28690.
