Azalee Eller

Mrs. Azalee Clampitt Eller, age 86, of Laurel Springs passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at her home. Born June 18, 1935 in Swain County, NC, Azalee was a daughter of the late Harvey and Nannie Clampitt.Azalee enjoyed traveling.She enjoyed life and most of all, spending time with her family.In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Ownby; and a brother, Odell Clampitt. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Wade Eller; three children, Wanda Lee Bentley, Glenda Whiteside (husband Greg) and Patricia Ann Carpenter; a brother, Warren Clampitt; her grandchildren, Joey Harris, John Sheets, Sheena Blanton, Amanda Sprague and Eric Blanton; five great grandchildren, Conner Sprague, Asher Blanton, Logan Blanton, Ryan Harris and McKenzie Franklin; she is also survived by numerous other relatives. A celebration of Azalee’s life will take place on Monday, February 7, 2022 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service at 3:00 PM with Pastor Geoff Day officiating.Interment will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
