Avery Horton

Avery Horton, Sr., 74, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Lenoir Health Care Center. Mr. Horton was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Clyde Horton and his mother, Nellie Horton Hardwick. He is also preceded in death by his brother, George Fern Horton. Mr. Horton is survived by his ex-wife Geneva, his son Avery Clyde Horton, Jr.; his daughters Amy, Ann, April, and Alice; his sister Janice Horton Mitchell and her husband Franklin, his aunt Eva Tugman, his two grandchildren Quincy and Garibrilla, and numerous other relatives and friends. A gathering of family and friends will be on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Evans Funeral Service at 11:00 am to 12:00 PM.
