Arthur Mcnairy Caudle

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Arthur McNairy Caudle, age 86, of Lenoir, died Friday, July 24, 2009 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Born October 22, 1922 in Caldwell County, Mr. Caudle was a son of the late Luther Reyno and Mamie Allen Caudle and the husband of Mrs. Grace Young Caudle of the home. Mr. Caudle was a member of Lower Creek Baptist Church where he was a member of the Men?s III Sunday School Class. He had served as a church librarian. Arthur enjoyed the old movies, was an avid reader and a Friend of the Caldwell County Public Library. He was a member of the Lower Creek Lions Club and had retired from Broyhill Furniture Industries. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Luther Reece Caudle, James Austin Caudle, Charles Hughes Caudle and Marshall Allen Caudle and two sisters, Mary Evelyn Caudle Blalock and Ruth Bingham Caudle Sharpe. Other than his wife, Arthur is survived by two daughters, Mary Anne Caudle and husband Sam Love of Wayne, NJ; Carol Caudle Claffee and husband James of Tobaccoville, NC; one sister, Margaret Caudle Parlier and husband Charles of Lenoir; one brother, David Lee Caudle and wife Kay of Lenoir, one sister-in-law, Margaret Caudle of Bethesda, MD and six grandchildren, Rachel Claffee, Jake Claffee and wife Sarah; David Love, Jess Claffee, Dustin Love and Joe Claffee. A celebration of Mr. Caudle?s life will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Lower Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Todd Braswell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. A private committal service will be conducted in the Lower Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men?s III Sunday School Class and the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class.
