Arlene Bare Brown

Lenoir, NC – Mrs. Arlene Bare Brown, age 68, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care. Mrs. Brown was born in Ashe County on January 27, 1945 to the late Ted and Virginia Greer Bare. She was married to Carl E. Brown of the home. Mrs. Brown was an active member of Community Baptist Church where she enjoyed serving the Lord and particularly helping others. She had a love for flowers and hummingbirds but the absolute joy of her life were her grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Larry Greene and her sister, Pamela Bare. Other than her husband she is survived by her children, Debbie Parrish and husband, Willis of China Grove; Tammy Morales and fiancée, Tony Shoe of Concord; Billy Sheets and wife, Teresa of Wilkes County; brothers, Gary Bare of Concord; Rondell Bare of Midland; Charles Bare of Salisbury; and sister, Monetta Ballard of Kannapolis; grandchildren, Brandi Kilgore, Joshua Parrish, Brian Greene, Anndreia Gibbs, Kendra Greene, Dustin Greene; and 7 great-grandchildren. A celebration of Mrs. Brown’s life will be held at 4:30 PM Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Community Baptist Church with Pastor Waitsel Beard and Pastor Robert Setzer officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 until 4:30 in the church sanctuary. Interment will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Joshua Parrish, Brian Greene, Dustin Greene, Tony Shoe, Chad Kilgore, and Stephen Houck.
