Annie Maie Carter Gragg

Annie Gragg Hudson – Mrs. Annie Maie Carter Gragg of Hudson, formerly of Raleigh, passed away at her residence on March 4, 2015. She was born in Warren County, NC to William Newell Carter and Mary Frances Smelley Carter. She is survived by her husband, Robert Lane Gragg, of the home with whom she shared 64 years of marriage. Mrs. Gragg was a member of Hudson United Methodist Church and a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Raleigh. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters and seven brothers. Other than her husband, she is survived by her sister, Nell C. Stallings and husband, John of Henderson, NC; brother, Clarence Carter of Norlina, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mrs. Gragg’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Joe Parker officiating. A graveside service will be held at Historic Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh, NC on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 1:00 PM. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to Hudson United Methodist Church, 383 Main Street, Hudson, NC 28638.
