Anita Enloe

Lenoir, NC - Mrs. Anita Marie Johnson Enloe, age 79, of Hickory, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born October 16, 1941 in Shelby, NC, Anita was the daughter of the late Henry and Catherine Johnson. Anita was a member of Tri City Baptist Church where she was part of the Faith Sunday School Class. She also enjoyed taking trips into the mountains.Anita will be remembered for the way she looked after her family.She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Commodore Enloe; and a son, Terry Enloe. Survivors include her son and daughter in law, William Enloe and Judith Smith; a grandson, Chandler Settlemyre; a granddaughter, Amelia Enloe; a step grandson, Randall Ford; two great grandchildren; Degen Nowlin and Raylen Nowlin; four brothers, Michael Johnson, Herbert Johnson, Dennis Johnson and Glenn Johnson (wife Shirley); she is also survived by numerous other relatives. Due to Covid-19 a celebration of Anita’s life will take place at a later time. The family request memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN38105.
