Anita Ann Cable

Anita Cable, 65, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 27, 2024.

Anita was born on March 20, 1959, to the late Bynum and Verlee Blankenship.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her birth mother, Virginia Helton.

Those left to cherish Anita’s memory are her husband of 44 years, Terry Cable; sons, Michael Cable (Ashley), David Cable; step son, Chris McElveen (Kristy); brothers, Marshall, Tim and countless others.

Anita loved purple leopard print, Ms. Piggy, butterflies, and above all she loved the Lord.  She enjoyed doing the children’s lesson before church, and she taught Vacation Bible School.  Anita was a servant for the Lord.

You could find Anita in the local walk for hunger, having parties for the senior citizens at church, and helping the members of the community.  She loved having her church family over for pool parties and cook outs.

Anita was a professional retail therapist.  She was a woman of many costumes.  She loved dressing up and brightening everyone’s day.

Anita was a great wife, mother, and friend.  She was loved by everyone she ever met.  Above all, Anita, was a devout Christian and servant of the Lord.  There is no doubt, Anita is with her Lord in Heaven.

A celebration of Anita's life will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Covenant Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
