Andrew Ward

Mr. Andrew Ellis Ward, age 78, of Lenoir passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Lenoir Healthcare Center. Born October 3, 1941 in Watauga County, Andrew was a son of the late Russell Otis and Martha Ward. Andrew was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed fishing.In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Rena Mae Sullivan and Betty Jo Yates; and a brother, Ranzo Ward. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Barbara Sue Ward; a Daughter, Katie Branch (husband Jeff); five grandchildren, Barbara Dean Greene (husband Brian), Christina K. Ward, Marshall Eugene Greene, Cheyenne Colfelt and Melinda Dollar; two great grandchildren, Colby Ward and Jason Colfelt; a brother, Clarence Ward; he is also survived by numerous other relatives. A graveside celebration of Andrew’s life will take place on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir.
