Ambrose Bryant

Lenoir – Mr. Ambrose Edgar Bryant, age 96, passed away on July 4, 2014 at Caldwell Hospice. He was born in Caldwell County on December 29, 1917 to the late William Bryant and Ada Taylor Bryant. He was married to Faye Barrier Bryant of the residence. Mr. Bryant was a member of Celia Creek Baptist Church and served as a minister for 60 years to several churches in the area. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Roy Bryant and wife, Linda; Sybil Myers and husband, Charles; step-children, Bonita King, Ruth Thacker, Chris King and Jeff King; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A celebration of Mr. Bryant’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Richard Shew and Pastor Ronnie Miller officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
