Lenoir – Mrs. Amber Anderson Hamby, age 34, celebrated Father’s Day with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 19, 2016. She was born in Burke County on October 15, 1981. Amber was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and advisor to all. She was an active member of Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Faye Bradshaw and Jack and Geneva “Boots” Anderson. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Hamby; children, Emma and Jackson Hamby; beloved pet, Trooper; mother, Martha Bradshaw and father, Terry W. Anderson and wife, Patty; grandparents, Clifford Bradshaw; brothers, Jarrett and Alex Anderson; step-mother, Leslie ; Michael Newsome and wife, Pahua; sisters, April and Samantha Newsome; uncle, Kirby Anderson and wife, Allison; grandparents, Polly “Nanny” Craig; father and mother-in-law, Jimmy and Kim Hamby; brother and sister-in-laws, Nick and Channie Winebarger and Ryan and Jessica Wilson; nieces and nephews, Marina Anderson; Allie and Dakota Winebarger; Chandon and Breeley Wilson; and Joslyn Newsome. A celebration of Amber’s life will be held at Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 4:00 PM with Pastor Nicky Waters and Preacher Jimmy Hamby officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 prior to the service. The family respectfully requests that memorials be sent to First Citizens Bank, 115 Blowing Rock Blvd., Lenoir, NC 28645, c/o Hamby Children Trust.
