Alvan E. Keen

Lenoir – Alvan “Al” Eugene Keen, age 60, of Lenoir, passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at his residence.Born February 8, 1954 in Ohio, he was a son of the late Barbara Joan Bean Lowe. Al was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had retired from EBWAY Corp in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, manufacturers of airplane parts. He is survived by 3 aunts, Martha Oxford and husband Allen of Hudson; Aileene Minton and husband Bill of Lenoir; Kathleene Miller of Sunset Beach, NC and 2 great-aunts, Myrtle Holman and Elizabeth Bean, both of Lenoir.He is also survived by several cousins and other relatives. A celebration of Al’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 28, 2014 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Pastor Elwood Negley officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 10:00 until 11:00, one hour prior to the service.
