Granite Falls, NC- Mrs. Alma Wilson Caudle, age 82, of Granite Falls, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at her home. Born May 29, 1926 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Caudle was a daughter of the late Rufus Henry and Edna Elizabeth Abernethy Wilson and the wife of the late Broadus Caudle. Mrs. Caudle was a member of Lower Creek Baptist Church and a graduate of Oak Hill High School. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert ?Bobby? Curtis. She is survived by her Grandson, Robert Curtis of Charlotte; one brother, Joseph Wilson and wife Jennie of Lenoir; 5 sisters, Thelma Beach of Raleigh; Elizabeth Pipes and husband Ted of Lenoir; her twin sister, Alta Faye McGowan of Raleigh; Emily Joyce Blackburn and husband Harrison of Redding, PA; Evelyn Jean Smith and husband June of Lenoir and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mrs. Caudle?s life will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 27, 2009 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Todd Braswell officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Friday, one hour prior to the service. The family respectfully requests memorials being made to Lower Creek Baptist Church Benevolence Fund, 633 Lower Creek Drive, NE, Lenoir, NC 28645.
