Allen "Scotty" Honeycutt

Allen Scott “Scotty” Honeycutt, age 65, of Hudson passed away Monday, October 11, 2021 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare. He was born August 8, 1956 in Burke County to the late John and Kathleen Honeycutt.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy Pruitt and Robert Doug Honeycutt; two sisters, Barbara Nichols and Rilla Kathleen Honeycutt; a brother-in-law, Cecil Bowlin. Scotty was a member of Grandin Baptist Church.He worked in furniture most of his life.He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 39 years, Cheryl Honeycutt , of the home; two sons, Michael Honeycutt and wife Wendy of Granite Falls, and Ronnie Honeycutt of Granite Falls; one daughter, Amy Crump and husband Mark of Lenoir; six grandchildren, Lily Honeycutt, Mayla Honeycutt, Elijah Crump and wife Kaitlin, Abigail Crump, Annabelle Crump and Elex Crump; one great grandchild, Raegan Crump; two brothers, Larry Honeycutt and wife Leatha, and Johnny Honeycutt and wife Frances; two sisters, Rebecca Honeycutt and Wilma Bowlin; he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A celebration of Scotty’s life will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Grandin Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Pastor Bobby Harmon officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
