Evans Funeral Service & Crematory July 26, 2010 Lenoir, NC- Infant Allen Baxter Crowe Gilbert, of Lenoir, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 20, 2010 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Born on July 20, 2010 in Lenoir, Allen was the son of Richard Anthony Gilbert and Melody Shantay Crowe. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Kenneth Crowe; maternal great grandfather, Baxter Crowe; maternal great grandmother, Faye Pope; and an uncle, Matthew ?Opie? Dawson. He is survived by his mother, Melody Crowe of Lenoir; his father, Anthony Gilbert of Lenoir; his maternal grandmother, Sharon Crowe of Lenoir; his maternal great grandmother, Mrs. Willa Dean Crowe of Hudson; his paternal grandfather, Jimmy Gilbert of Lenoir; his paternal grandmother, Mary Gilbert of Lenoir; godparents, Dale and Erica Pope; two uncles, Kurt Richie of Hickory, and Eric & Suzanne Crowe of Lenoir; an aunt, Danielle & Justin Phillips of Lenoir; one great aunt & uncle, Cricket & Monte Smith of Lenoir; he was also survived by numerous friends and other relatives. A celebration of Allen?s life will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with James Edwards officiating.
