Allan Watson

Mr. Allan Smith Watson, age 58, of Boomer passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019 at his home. Born June 21, 1960 in Wilkes County, he was a son of the late Manuel and Martha White Watson.One of the things he enjoyed most was taking care of his cats.Allan worked close to 40 years in the furniture industry, mostly at Lenoir Furniture Corporation.Allan loved the outdoors, especially fishing and working in his garden.He will be remembered as a handy man and having many talents.Allan could be found every Sunday on his front porch reading his Bible.In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Nonesone Watson. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Teresa Wayne Watson; his daughter, Kimberly Hicks (husband James); his step children, Crystal Webster (husband John) and Casey Koenig (husband Larry); two brothers, Gaither Watson and Aquilla Watson; a sister, Mathalene Epright; his best friend, Truett Smithey (wife Kathy); he is also survived by four grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.
