Alisa Jean Burns, 66, of Darby, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025, after a brave battle with cancer.

She was born on June 8th, 1958 in Caldwell County to the late John Vance Brown and Callie Knight Brown. She was the granddaughter of the late Pedro and Ethel Brown, and the late David and Lelia Knight.

She was one of four Brown girls. The late Jonnie Stallings of Lenoir. Tyra Edwards of Savannah, Georgia and Callie Greene of Lenoir.

For the last 38 years, she has been the faithful wife of Jim Burns. A Devoted and loving mother to Kristen Blankenship and husband David of Lenoir, Caleb Burns of the home, and Joshua Burns of the home. Her favorite name to be called was Nana. She was a caring, playful, and loving Nana to Nathan, Isabelle, and Kenzie Blankenship

Those also left to cherish her memory are her nieces Adrian Brown and Nikki Brown. Her great nephews Jon Hartley, Kyle Hartley and wife Faith, also, many extended family members and all her church family.

She was a faithful member of Word of Life Assembly for the last 28 years. She loved the Lord with all her heart, enjoyed teaching Sunday School, and singing to worship her Savior.

A memorial service to honor Alisa life is planned for Sunday April 6, 2025 in the chapel at Evans Funeral Service at 2:00 pm with Bro. Jonathan Knight and Bro. Adam Knight speaking.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or a Hospice of your choice.
