Alfred Eugene Spears

Alfred Eugene Spears, age 73, of Lenoir, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born March 13, 1949 in Caldwell County to the late Arnold Spears and Bernice Hartley Spears. Survivors include three brothers, David Spears and wife Joyce, Richard Spears and wife Faye, Lowell Spears and wife Lillie; special nieces, LaRae Bradshaw and husband Kenneth Bradshaw and Brandi Spears. Alfred was a US Army Vietnam Veteran who serve our country bravely. During his tour he was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds he received in action. He was a member of Littlejohn United Methodist Church and retired from Gamewell Fire Department after many years of service. A graveside service will be held Sunday, July 17, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Littlejohn United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Reverend David Payne.
