Hudson, NC- Mrs. Alene Elizabeth Chester Mitcham, age 71, of Hudson, died Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at her home. Born May 2, 1938 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Mitcham was a daughter of the late David Pink Chester and Mrs. Edna Triplett Griffie of Maiden and the wife of the late Bobby G. Mitcham. Mrs. Mitcham was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church and was the retired owner/operator of Four Seasons Greenhouse and Florist. Surviving other than her mother is her daughter, Michelle Mitcham Huggins and husband David of Hudson; two grandchildren, Catherine Paige Huggins and Michael David Huggins, both of Hudson. She is also survived by one aunt, Sara Lail of Hudson; 11 siblings, Evelyn Crump of Connelly Springs; Margaret Hildebran of Vale; Mary Hester of Lincolnton; Mavin Cook of Seagrove; Arthur Hoyle of Hickory; Noran Russo of Connelly Springs; Paula Roberts of Kernersville; Loretta Martin of Granite Falls; David Chester of Hudson; Charles Robert Chester of Asheboro; Donnie Chester of Hickory and many other nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. The family invites you to attend a celebration of Mrs. Mitham?s life 2:00 PM Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Center Grove Baptist Church in Hudson, NC with Reverend Doug Howell officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 12:30 until 2:00, prior to the service on Saturday.
