Albert Powell

Lenoir – Albert Allen Powell, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.

He was born in Caldwell County on October 22, 1950 to the late Robert Lee Powell and Marjorie Dula Powell.

Albert was a veteran of the United States Marines and after returning from the military he went to work in the furniture industry. He never met a stranger, was loved by everyone he met and will be remembered for his caring and giving spirit. He will be missed by his family and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Genive P. Connelly; brothers, Roy Powell; Gaither Powell and Luther Powell.

Albert is survived by his brothers, Robert Lee Powell and Harry Powell; sister, Delorise P. Ragins; niece, Tasha Banner; and other family members and friends.

A memorial service celebrating Albert’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM with military honors provided by the United States Marine Corps and the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.
