Albert "Harvey" Chester

Harvey Chester, 71, of Hudson, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.

Harvey was born on July 14, 1952, to the late Argie and Maude Chester.

In addition to his parents, Harvey is preceded in death by his brothers; Bobby Chester, Allen Chester; sister, Leona Hicks and brother-in-law, Bill Ervin.

Those left to cherish Harvey’s memory are his wife of 47 years, Libby, sons; Derrick Chester, Tyler Chester (Liz); grandchildren, Nate, Roxie, Ethan, Eli; great grandchildren; Nowah, Mazikeen; sisters, Lucille Church (Claude), Ruby Ervin, Margie Taylor (Dewey), Reba Greene (Jim); and numerous other relatives.

Harvey was a member of East Hudson Baptist Church for the majority of his life where he was a choir director and participated in the traveling Drama called “I Dreamed I Searched Heaven for You”.  He was a member of Hartland Missionary Methodist Church for several years where he was the choir director.  Harvey was a member of the Happy Pilgrim Quartet for 50 years and helped to lead countless souls to the Lord.  Harvey was a wonderful husband; he loved his grandbabies and great grands.  He took care of anyone in need.  Harvey was always smiling and his secret to a good life was “putting up with a lot”.

A receiving of family and friends will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Cornerstone Covenant Church.  A service for Harvey will follow at 3:00 PM at Cornerstone Covenant Church with Pastor Ricky Greene officiating.  Burial will follow at East Hudson Baptist Church.
