Aileen Coffey

Mrs. Aileen Letha Coffey, age 80, of Lenoir passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Chunns Cove Assisted Living in Asheville. Born April 18, 1937 in Caldwell County, Aileen was a daughter of the late George and Ruth Houck Melton.Aileen enjoyed working outside. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Watson, Samuel Lee and Lenny Coffey; two sisters, Helen Calles and Becky Bowman; and a brother, Douglas Melton. Survivors include her daughter, Toni Watson of Lenoir; a son, Curtis Lee; her step daughters, Pat Owens, Brenda Wiggins and Kathy Heath; a granddaughter, Karen Shew; she is also survived by five great grandchildren and numerous other relatives. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Evans Funeral Service from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A celebration of Aileen’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Thursday December 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Charles Lucas officiating.Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
