Adeline Rita Bausch Sauer

Adeline Rita Bausch Sauer, 84, died unexpectedly February 9,

2024 at Foley Center. She was born 12/23/39, in Lackawanna, NY, the daughter

of Robert and Adeline Bausch.

Adeline graduated from Buffalo State University with a degree in teaching and

education and went on to get 2 Masters Degrees in education from Nazareth

College.

She met her future husband William Sauer at Buffalo State, and they married on

June 23, 1962. Their residence was in Walworth, NY, and then Lenoir, NC. They

are survived by their daughter Barbara Ballesty, and her husband David. She is

survived by her sister Alice Craddock, (daughters Catherine Lee Jones and LouAnn Trabert) and her sister Barbara Tiffany, (daughters Samantha Sawyer and Laura Dewey).

Adeline became an accomplished watercolor painter over many years after her

retirement and was a proud member of the Brush and Palette club in Lenoir, NC.

She delighted in sharing her paintings with others and enjoyed the paintings of

the other accomplished painters she associated with. Sailing, walking, ice skating

dancing and family trips to #9 cottage on Whitestone Lake were some of her

favorite activities.

A gathering of friends will be held from 2:00PM until 3:30PM on 2/18/2024 at Evans Funeral Service in Lenoir NC,

1070 Taylorsville Road Lenoir, North Carolina 28645.
